Ok, working on something new.  I’m still writing, but that’s been slow going.  My brain has headed into a different direction that i’m going to follow for a bit and see how that turns out.

Hopefully I’ll have visuals within a week or two.

send up prayers for blessings that this is something that helps us move forward in our personal success.

i came across a picture of me during nerdacon this year and i almost sent a request to the person who had posted that picture to delete it, because i can’t stand how i looked.  how i look.

i want to delete me.

this is not a new year’s resolution, this is a life’s resolution.

time to change my world.

for those of us here in the south, we’ve been in a drought for months now.  they said it was technically like 8 months, due to below average rain fall, but we’ve not had ANY rain for over 3 months.  wildfires everywhere, a smokey haze covers everything, buildings catch on fire if you look at them hard enough.  powder keg.  watching the news and tennessee is an inferno right now, praying for coworkers there and family of some friends that are up there.

but today we have rain!!!  it sprinkled last night for about 7 minutes.  barely enough to make the leaves and grass no longer crunch and pop like bubble wrap when we walked the dogs, but the wind kicked up and blew away all the clouds.  we were worried the weather guys and gals had gotten it wrong again.  but sometime after bed, it began a steady rain, and has kept raining.

THANK YOU GOD!

it’s been 8 hours and still a steady pour, puddles in the driveway, topsoil is softening, the weather predicts it will rain ALL day today, and God knows we need it and i am praying it makes it up to tennessee and all over to stop the wildfires everywhere.

we walked the dogs this morning and my husband said something about the smell of wet dogs, earthy, pungent.  yep!  and today i’m not complaining one drop.  nope.  today is a good day.

so it’s been awhile.  like i said, i’m not very good at keeping up with things like this, real life takes all my energy so by the end of the day, the best i can do is remember to remove clothing before taking a shower.

however, i’m hoping this will change very soon.  i got a promotion at work, new position that will allow me to work from home, and take away the constant hammering of back to back calls.  i actually started monday, but i have to continue to work in the office until either training is complete; another 11 weeks, or i can convince my new boss to move me since it’s so hectic in a call center, i can’t concentrate on my new work.  so maybe i’ll be moved into my new home office by the end of next week.

working from home is going to really help me focus on so many other things.  my breaks can be spent pressing t-shirts (i am starting a t-shirt line), my lunch breaks i can work on writing my many books (1 book will be non-fiction and tie into the t-shirt line), or i can take a break and work on my blog or tweet, work on my THRIVE sales.  i have so many things i want to accomplish and now i have a chance.  no more hour and half every day wasted on driving, the hour of breaks/lunch spent staring off into space because i can’t take my laptop to work with me and my cellphone doesn’t get a signal at the office.  so i’ve been restricted on what i can do besides just taking calls.  now i can expand my creative wings.

not to mention, my house is going to be amazingly clean.  breaks that don’t require t-shirts or tweets, i can do my prep cooking, cleaning, laundry.  i’m gonna be constructively busy.  so happy!

so be on the lookout for more blogs, posts, etc.

Biggie finally found a furever home.  So thankful and hope to have some updates soon.  Only been like 2 weeks.  Want to give him some time to get adjusted.  Miss him though.  He is such a sweet dog and great personality.  If Chester wasn’t an asshat when it came to other male dogs, we would’ve kept him.  but he’s gone to be with a family that has a 9 year old son who will be able to keep up with Biggie.

I’m up for a promotion at work next week.  New position with more pay and it’s a work from home spot.  Lord knows I need this job.  It would allow me to get so many things done.

Still working on book 3.  I don’t even have a title yet and sometimes having a title helps focus the idea.  But i’m scatter brained right now with also working on a new non-fiction book at the same time and starting a t-shirt line.

I need to focus, but I can’t until I know about this job next week.  That will help me make the next plans.

So yesterday, all my fur grandbabies turned 1.  Every one, except Biggie, has found a home.  But there is hope.  We got a call thursday that a friend may have found him a home and I just sent an email to someone who posted here.  So fingers crossed we can find him a home soon.  We love him, he’s a sweet BIG boy, but he needs a family all his own and we are running out of room.

So wish us luck, pray for a good family for him, and wish my babies a happy birthday.

I don’t have time to make resolutions and it’s already February so if I had made any, I’m already screwed.

So tonight was our book signing for local authors at the library.  3 people showed.  and they were there for the same author.

we planned this events for months, but none of knew this would be opening weekend of star wars.

yeah, we should’ve rescheduled.
